The question facing modern security operations isn't whether to deploy body-worn cameras. It's how to deploy them in a way that fits naturally into existing workflows, provides genuinely usable evidence, and maintains an unbreakable chain of custody from the moment of capture to the moment of review.
The VB400 was designed with exactly those operational realities in mind. It is not a consumer camera repurposed for professional use. It is an end-to-end evidential system — hardware, software, and data management — that integrates with what you already have while elevating every aspect of your video program.
Continuous Recording
30fps · 120° FOV
Encryption Standard
Ingress Protection
MIL-STD Drop Cert.
The VB400's shift-long 12-hour battery life means workers can deploy with confidence that their camera will outlast their rotation. Temperature resistance from -20°C to +50°C covers any climate your team operates in, while IP67 ingress protection handles rain, dust, and whatever else the environment throws at it.
The MIL-STD 810G drop test certification means evidence is protected even when the unexpected happens. Secure mounting options ensure the device stays firmly attached across all uniform types — bulletproof vest, shirt, or jacket — throughout active incidents.
1080p at 30fps with a 120° horizontal field of view provides comprehensive scene coverage. Low-light performance to 0.2 lux means the camera keeps capturing even in near-dark environments. Dual microphones ensure audio fidelity from all angles.
Recording behaviour is fully configurable through VideoManager. Five buttons can be mapped to different actions per role. Workers get the recording behaviour their job requires — not a one-size-fits-all default.
1080p at 30fps · 120° FOV · visible in conditions as low as 0.2 lux.
Capture seconds or minutes before and after a triggered event.
5 programmable buttons with customisable LED, vibration & audio feedback.
Footage transfers automatically to VideoManager when docked.
Nearby units start recording when one VB400 triggers in a configurable radius.
Real-time location via Tactical VideoManager interactive map or API.
Body-worn cameras are most powerful when they're not isolated. The VB400 connects to your broader security infrastructure through 3rd-party VMS integration — any ONVIF-compatible platform can centralise both body-worn and fixed CCTV streams in a single view.
Holster-aware integration and radio integration (coming soon) mean the VB400 can begin recording automatically when equipment is unholstered or when a MOTOTRBO radio enters an emergency state — reducing cognitive load for responding workers at exactly the moment it matters most.
The VB400's evidential integrity architecture is designed to be watertight. Footage is encrypted on-device with AES 256 and cannot be accessed by the operator or anyone else until the camera is docked to an authorised VideoManager instance. Data transfers via TLS 1.2 protocol.
No footage accessible without VideoManager connection. Hardware prevents direct media extraction.
Footage encrypted at rest and during transit via TLS 1.2. End-to-end protection.
Footage is irretrievable if cameras connect to an unauthorised VideoManager instance.
SHA256 hashes and certificate-based signing confirm no tampering or editing.
VideoManager is the operational core of any VB400 deployment. It handles device configuration and user assignment, firmware updates, footage storage and encryption, access control, and integrations with Bluetooth peripherals, third-party VMSs, and the VB Companion app — all from a single interface.
Whether you're deploying five cameras or five hundred, management scales without complexity. Every aspect of a camera's workflow — from assigning it to a user to upgrading its firmware — can be completed directly on VideoManager.
